Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: The upper age limit for all posts is 55 years as of 27.07.2025. No age relaxation details are mentioned in the notification.


1. Assistant Professor

  • Educational Qualification:
    • Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Demography / Population studies / Statistics / Bio-Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Sociology / Social Work / Psychology / Anthropology / Geography.
    • Persons with a PG degree other than Demography / Population Studies must have completed a minimum one-year regular course in Demography / Population Studies at a recognized Institution / University.
    • Must have cleared NET conducted by UGC or CSIR, or a similar test like SLET/SET.
    • Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
    • Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, are also exempted subject to fulfillment of specific conditions (regular mode Ph.D., thesis evaluated by two external examiners, open viva-voce, two research publications with one in a refereed journal, and two paper presentations).
    • A Ph.D. from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the world (QS, THE, or ARWU) also grants exemption from NET/SLET/SET.

2. Research Investigator (Regular & Contractual)

  • Educational Qualification: At least 2nd class Post Graduate degree in Demography / Population Studies / Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Sociology / Social work / Psychology / Anthropology / Geography.
  • Additional Skill: Knowledge in Computer Applications.
  • Experience: 3 years experience in collection / analysis and report writing (Relaxable for candidates with higher qualifications).

3. Field Investigator

  • Educational Qualification: At least 2nd class Post Graduate degree in Demography / Population Studies / Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Sociology / Social work / Psychology / Anthropology / Geography.
  • Experience: Some experience in collection / analysis of Data.

4. Data Assistant

  • Educational Qualification: At least 2nd class Graduate degree with Statistics / Economics / Mathematics.
  • Experience: Experience in Data handling using latest statistical packages.

5. Office Superintendent

  • Option 1:
    • Post Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Administration, Accounts, or Establishment.
    • Demonstrated experience in financial and physical reporting, supervision, and office management.
    • Should Possess a diploma in a computer course.
  • Option 2 (or):
    • Graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 10 years of experience in at least two of the following areas: Administration, Accounts, or Establishment.
    • Demonstrated experience in financial and physical reporting, supervision, and office management.
    • Should Possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application Course (PGDCA).

6. Lower Division Clerk

  • Educational Qualification: Any Degree.
  • Experience: Not less than 2 years of experience in Clerical or administrative roles (Record keeping, file management, drafting, routine correspondence) in a registered and reputed organization.
  • Additional Skill: Should possess a Diploma/Certificate in Computer Course.

Selection Process

The selection process will be based on shortlisting of applications followed by an interview. Only shortlisted eligible candidates will be called for the interview. Interview call letters will be sent via email and post.
