Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade of application. They must have secured at least 40% marks in the ITI examination.
• Experience: Not Required. This is a training program.
• Age Limit: The age limit is not specified in the notification. Age will be considered as per Apprenticeship Rules.
• Other Criteria:
  • Applicant must be registered on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal in their trade of application.
  • The mobile number on the e-Aadhaar downloaded from the UIDAI website must be the same number used for registration on the NAPS portal.
  • A candidate can apply for only one trade in either West Bengal or Jharkhand. Applications for both states will be rejected.
  • Candidates must successfully clear the document verification process.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on a merit list prepared according to the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (ITI). In case of a tie in marks, the following preference criteria will be used:

• The candidate who passed the qualifying examination earlier (based on the year of passing).
• If the year of passing is the same, the older candidate will be given seniority.
• If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who registered earlier on the NAPS portal will be considered senior.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification. Reservation policies as applicable for CPSU will be followed.

• How to Apply:
  1. Download the application format and undertaking from the official ECL website (www.easterncoal.nic.in).
  2. Fill out the application form completely and accurately.
  3. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (listed below).
  4. Send the completed application form along with enclosures by Speed Post or Registered Post to the following address:
     The office of the General Manager, HRD, Dishergarh, Paschim Burdwan, WB, 713333.
  5. Applications sent via courier or by hand will not be accepted.
• Documents to be enclosed:
  • Self-attested copy of Matriculation/8th Pass certificate (for Welder).
  • Self-attested copy of ITI passing certificate and Final Year Mark Sheet.
  • Self-attested Registration copy of NAPS.
  • Self-attested e-Aadhaar downloaded from UIDAI website.
  • Bank details copy (Aadhaar linked) as uploaded on the NAPS portal.
  • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC). OBC certificate must be valid for one year from its date of issue.
  • One recent passport-size photograph.
  • Affidavit for undertaking as per the attached format.
