Indian Air Force Recruitment Rally 2025: Golden Opportunity for 10+2 & Pharmacy Candidates!

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is conducting a recruitment rally for unmarried male Indian/Gorkha (a subject of Nepal) citizens from specified states to join as Airmen in Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade. The rally will be held from 27th August to 03rd September 2025 at Air Force Station Barrackpore, West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification:
    • For Medical Assistant (10+2): Passed 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR Passed a two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% in English.
    • For Medical Assistant (Pharmacy): Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% aggregate and 50% in English, PLUS Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and valid registration from State/Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
  • Age Limit:
    • For 10+2 Candidates: Unmarried, born between 01 January 2005 and 01 January 2009 (both dates inclusive).
    • For Pharmacy Candidates (Unmarried): Born between 01 January 2002 and 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive).
    • For Pharmacy Candidates (Married): Born between 01 January 2002 and 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive).
  • Physical Standards:
    • Height: Minimum 152 cms.
    • Chest: Minimum 77 cm with at least 05 cm expansion.
    • Visual Acuity: 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted at the rally venue and will consist of the following stages:

  1. Document Verification: Original certificates will be scrutinized.
  2. Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
    • 1.6 Km run within 7 minutes (7 minutes 30 seconds for candidates above 21 years/with Pharmacy qualification).
    • 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, and 20 Squats within a specified time.
  3. Written Test: For PFT-qualified candidates. It will be an objective type test of 45 minutes, comprising English (20 questions) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) (30 questions). Negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
  4. Adaptability Test – I & II: To assess suitability for the IAF environment.
  5. Medical Examination: As per IAF standards.

How to Apply & Documents Required

This is a walk-in recruitment rally. No online application is required. Candidates must report directly to the rally venue on the scheduled date with the following documents:

  • Writing materials (HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler, black/blue ball pen).
  • 10 unattested recent passport-size colour photographs.
  • Original and four self-attested photocopies of:
    • Matriculation Passing Certificate (for DOB verification).
    • 10+2/Intermediate or equivalent passing certificate and mark sheet.
    • Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy certificate and mark sheets (if applicable).
    • Domicile Certificate.
    • Son of Air Force Personnel (SOAFP) Certificate, NCC Certificate, etc. (if applicable).
    • Discharge Certificate for ex-servicemen of Army/Navy/other Govt. org.
  • Consent Form for PFT and Medical Tests (signed by self or parent/guardian if below 18).
