DMRC Walk-In for Technicians in Chennai Metro (CMRL) 2025!
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has released a notification for a Walk-in Screening process to engage Technicians on a Fixed Term Contract Basis for the Operations and Maintenance work of Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) Phase-II. Eligible ITI holders from Tamil Nadu are invited to attend the screening as per the schedule below.
Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation / Class 12th pass AND ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade from a Government ITI of Tamil Nadu.
- Minimum 60% aggregate marks in ITI is mandatory.
- Important Note: Candidates passed out from Private/Government Aided ITI institutes shall not be eligible.
- Trade-wise ITI Requirement:
- RS Dept.: Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter, Refrigeration & AC Mechanic.
- E&M Traction Dept.: Electrician.
- Tele & AFC Dept.: Electronic Mechanic, IT System Maintenance, Information Technology, Computer Hardware AND Network Maintenance, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Power Electronics System.
- Civil & Track Dept.: Fitter, Plumber, Welder, Carpenter.
- Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025): 18 – 33 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per Tamil Nadu Government Rules.
- Other Criteria: 30% horizontal reservation for women candidates.
Selection Process
The selection will be through a Walk-in Screening process which includes:
- Document Verification: Candidates must bring all original documents and a set of photocopies.
- Screening Test: This includes a Tamil Language Proficiency Test (Reading, Writing, and Speaking), which is qualifying in nature. Candidates who studied Tamil as a subject in the 10th standard are exempted from this test.
- Medical Examination: Empaneled candidates will undergo a medical fitness test. Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery are not suitable for the position.
Suitable candidates will be empaneled for a period of 02 years.

- 10th certificate (mandatory).
- Proof of Date of Birth (SSC/Matriculation Certificate).
- Caste Certificate (if applicable).
- Complete ITI Certificates and Semester-wise Marksheets from a Govt. ITI of Tamil Nadu.
- ID proof (Aadhaar, PAN Card, etc.).
- One set of photocopies of all the above documents.
