The Office of the District Welfare Officer, Backward Classes Welfare & Tribal Development (BCW&TD), Purba Medinipur, has invited applications from retired government employees for engagement as Additional Inspector on a contract basis. These positions are for various SDO Offices, BDO Offices & Municipalities within the Purba Medinipur District.

Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

  • Category of Employees: The applicant must be a retired Inspector BCW & TD / Extension Officer / Head Clerk / UD Clerk from the Government of West Bengal.
  • Last Pay Scale: Must have retired with a pay scale of Rs. 7,100/- to Rs. 37,600/- with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3,600/- as per ROPA 2009, or Level – 9 as per ROPA 2019.
  • Age Limit: Upper age limit is 64 years as on 01/01/2025. The engagement will be made up to the age of 65 years or till a regular Inspector joins the post, whichever is earlier.
  • Preference: Special preference will be given to retired employees of the BCW & TD Department.

Selection Process

The selection process involves two stages:

  1. Scrutiny of applications as per the eligibility criteria.
  2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview.

The decisions of the Selection Committee will be final.
