APPSC Recruitment 2025: Opportunity for Agriculture Officers in Andhra Pradesh!
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has issued a notification (No.09/2025) for the direct recruitment to the post of Agriculture Officer in the A.P. Agriculture Service. Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Must possess a 4 years Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture from a State Agriculture University or any other Agriculture University or University, Accredited by ICAR.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) based on merit in the written exam. Qualifying the CPT is mandatory for appointment.
- Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025):
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 42 Years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC, ST, BCs and EWS: 5 Years
- For SC/ST CF vacancies: 10 Years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PBD): 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen & N.C.C. (as Instructor): 3 Years + length of service rendered
- Regular A.P. State Government Employees: Allowed to deduct the length of regular service up to a maximum of 5 years
- Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Dept.: 3 Years
Selection Process
The selection process will be based on merit in the Written Examination (Objective Type, OMR-based) followed by a qualifying Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

Negative Marking: For each wrong answer, 1/3rd of the marks prescribed for the question will be penalized.

- The following categories are exempted from payment of Examination Fee (Rs. 120/-):
- SC, ST, BC, PBDs & Ex-Servicemen.
- Families having household supply white card (Residents of Andhra Pradesh).
- Un-employed youth as per government norms.
- How to Apply: Candidates must first register through the One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the APPSC website. After obtaining the OTPR ID, they can log in and submit the online application for the Agriculture Officer post. Payment must be made online using a payment gateway (net banking/ credit card / debit card).
