Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  1. Should have passed the Senior Secondary Part-II Examination (10+2) or its equivalent from a recognized university or institution.
  2. Should possess a diploma in Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) from a recognized university or institution. A.N.M. (Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife) is considered equivalent.
  3. Should be registered as a Multipurpose Health Worker (Female) with the Punjab Nurses Registration Council.
  4. Knowledge of Punjabi: Must have passed Matriculation with Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject. Additionally, must pass a qualifying test of Punjabi Language of Matriculation standard with at least 50% marks.
• Experience:
  • Experience marks (up to 10) will be awarded for work done as a contract/outsource employee against the same post in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab or UT Administration (Chandigarh).
  • 1.5 marks per annum for the COVID-19 pandemic period (March 2020 to June 2021) and 1 mark per annum for the normal period.
  • No experience marks for Asha Workers and Anganwari Workers.
• Age Limit (as on 1st Jan 2025): Between 18 to 37 years.Age Relaxation:
  • SC/BC: 5 years
  • Physically Handicapped: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Deduction of service period in Armed Forces from actual age, provided the resultant age is not more than 3 years over the maximum limit.
  • State/Central Govt. Employees: Up to 45 years.
  • Widows, Divorcees, etc.: Up to 40 years.
• Nationality: Candidate must be a Citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee (settled before 1st Jan 1962).

Selection Process

The selection will be based on the inter-se merit determined by the total marks obtained in the following:

• Written Examination: 90 Marks
• Experience: Up to 10 Marks
• Total: 100 Marks

A candidate must score a minimum of 33% marks in the written test to be considered eligible. The final selection is subject to fulfilling all eligibility criteria and reservation policy. In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be given preference.
