Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
  • At least Second Class Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Metallurgical/Textile/Chemical/Computer Engineering/Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or any other branch of Engineering.
  • OR, At least Second Class Degree (Honours) in Economics/Mathematics/Statistics/Physics/Chemistry.
  • OR, MBA Degree/PG Diploma from an AICTE recognized institution.
  • OR, Degree in Pharmacy from an AICTE recognized institution.
  • OR, Membership from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • OR, Membership from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountant of India.
  • OR, Degree or equivalent in Silk Technology/Management from an AICTE recognized institution.
  • OR, Degree or equivalent in Leather Technology from an AICTE recognized institution.
• Experience: Not Required.
• Age Limit: (as on 01.08.2025)
  • Minimum Age: 21 Years
  • Maximum Age (Unreserved – Male): 37 Years
  • Maximum Age (BC/EBC – Male & Female, Unreserved – Female): 40 Years
  • Maximum Age (SC/ST – Male & Female): 42 Years
  • Age relaxation is applicable as per rules for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (10 years), Bihar Govt. employees (5 years), and Ex-Servicemen (3 years + service period).
• Other Criteria: Candidates claiming reservation benefits must be permanent residents of Bihar state.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination: Objective type test on General Knowledge (Indian Economy & Industry – 70 marks, Current Affairs – 40 marks, Mental Ability Test – 40 marks). Duration: 2 hours 15 minutes.
2. Written (Main) Examination: This includes compulsory subjects (General Hindi – 100 marks, English – 100 marks, General Knowledge – 200 marks) and one Optional Subject (200 marks). General Hindi and English are qualifying in nature.
3. Interview: 100 marks.
The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Main Examination (General Knowledge and Optional Paper) and the Interview.

  • SC/ST/PwD/Female: Rs. 100/-

  An additional Biometric fee of Rs. 200/- will be charged for candidates who do not provide their Aadhaar number as ID.
