DEO Garhwa Assistant Teacher Counselling 2025: List of Selected Candidates Released!
The Office of the District Education Superintendent, Garhwa, has released an important notice regarding the counselling for candidates recommended by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) for the post of Graduate Trained Assistant Teacher (Mathematics & Science) under advertisement no. 13/2023.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: As per the original JSSC notification, candidates must possess: Matriculation (10th), Intermediate (10+2), Graduation in the relevant discipline, a valid JTET pass certificate for Class 6-8, and a recognized Teacher Training Qualification.
- Experience: Not Required for fresh candidates. For Para-teacher candidates, relevant experience is considered for age relaxation.
- Age Limit: The cut-off date for minimum age is 01.08.2023 and for maximum age is 01.08.2016. Para-teacher candidates are eligible for age relaxation up to 58 years.
- Other Criteria: Candidates must be local residents of Jharkhand. A valid local residential certificate is required.
Selection Process
The selection is based on the performance in the Jharkhand Primary School Trained Assistant Teacher Joint Competitive Examination (JPSTAACCE) – 2023, conducted by JSSC. Candidates who were successful in the examination and recommended by the commission are now required to appear for Document Verification and Counselling.

- General/OBC: The application process is over. No fee for counselling.
- SC/ST/PwD/Female: The application process is over. No fee for counselling.
- How to Apply: This is a counselling process for selected candidates, not a new application. Eligible candidates whose names are on the list must attend the counselling in person at the following venue: Auditorium Hall, Old Collectorate, Office of the District Education Superintendent, Garhwa. Candidates must bring all original documents and self-attested photocopies.
