Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology/Applied Geology/ Earth Science or related field or related sciences with at least 55% marks for GN/OBC (50% for SC/ST/PH) from a UGC recognized University/ Institute with a valid CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE/NET qualification.
• Experience: Not Required. However, candidates with the following desirable qualifications will be preferred:
  1. Work experience involving Igneous Petrology / Geochemistry / Geochronology / Mineralogy / Mineralization / Tectonics, etc.
  2. Fieldwork experience in Himalayan regions as a part of Postgraduation Dissertation/Research Project, etc.
• Age Limit: Below 28 years as on the date of the interview (18th September 2025). Age relaxation is permissible for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules.
• Other Criteria: Candidates must be eligible for the post as per the guidelines of SERB, DST, Govt. of India.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a Walk-In-Interview. Candidates should ensure their eligibility before applying. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the walk-in interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
