Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Must be a literate woman with a minimum formal education of 10th Class. Preference will be given to candidates with Class XII qualification.
  • Experience: Not Required.
  • Age Limit: Candidates should be between 25 to 45 years of age. The age criteria can be relaxed if no suitable woman with the required qualification is available in the area.
  • Other Criteria:
    • Candidate must be a woman and a resident of the same village (for rural) or slum/vulnerable cluster (for urban) for which she is applying.
    • Must be preferably Married/Widow/Divorced/Separated.
    • Should possess effective communication skills, leadership qualities, and have family/social support.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted by the District Health Society (DHS) under the chairmanship of the District Collector. The process involves shortlisting candidates based on recommendations from the Village Health and Sanitation Committee (VHSNC) for rural areas and the Urban Health and Sanitation Committee (UHSNC) for urban areas. The final selection will be based on merit after displaying lists and addressing any objections.
