DRDA Puducherry Recruitment 2025: Opportunity for Retired Government Engineers as Consultants!
The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Puducherry, has invited applications from eligible retired Government officials for the engagement of Consultants on a contractual basis. This recruitment is for work under the PMGSY, SBM(G), and MPLADS schemes. A total of 3 positions are available for retired Assistant Engineers (Civil) or Junior Engineers (Civil).

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience & Previous Post:
- Must be a retired Government official who has held the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil), Assistant Engineer on CDC (Civil), or Junior Engineer (Civil) from the Central/State/UT Government, PSU, or Autonomous Bodies.
- Must have experience in preparing estimates, DPR, tender documents for Civil Projects, handling e-Tender procedures, and execution & supervision of civil works.
- Should possess knowledge of Government rules and regulations governing the preparation of estimates and tender documents for civil works.
- Age Limit: Not above 65 years as on the date of notification.
- Other Criteria:
- Should be medically fit.
- Should not have been terminated or compulsorily retired from service.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on scrutiny of applications followed by an assessment by the Competent Authority. On selection, the official shall execute an agreement in the prescribed form. The engagement is purely on a temporary basis for an initial period of six months, extendable based on need.
