Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Additionally, one of the following qualifications is required:
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with NCTE regulations, 2002.
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Graduation and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• Experience: Not Required.
• Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years as on 16/10/2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 years
  • PwBD (SC/ST): 15 years
  • PwBD (OBC): 13 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Period of military service + 3 years
  • Departmental Candidates: Up to 5 years
• Other Criteria: Must have passed Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English as a subject at the Secondary level. Must be a citizen of India.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a One Tier Examination (Tier-I). The exam will be a Computer Based Test of 2 hours duration, consisting of 200 MCQs for 200 marks.

Exam Scheme:

Section-A (100 Marks): General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, English Language & Comprehension, and Hindi Language & Comprehension (20 marks each).

Section-B (100 Marks): MCQs of one mark each based on NCTE curriculum (including teaching methodology) required for the post.

Negative Marking: There will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
