• Pay Scale / Remunération: For retired employees from non-pensionable services (autonomous bodies, PSUs etc.), the consolidated monthly remuneration will be:
  • Assistant Engineer: Rs. 45,000/-
  • Junior Engineer: Rs. 33,630/-

  For retired government personnel, a consolidated amount equivalent to last pay drawn minus pension drawn is payable. TA/DA for official tours is also admissible.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • Assistant Engineer (Electrical): Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.
  • Junior Engineer (Civil): Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.
  • Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.
• Experience: This recruitment is for retired engineers. Candidates must have held the post of Assistant Engineer/Junior Engineer or a superior post at the time of retirement from Central / State PWD or CPSUs / PSUs. Preference will be given to retired Government Engineers with experience in building construction and maintenance.
• Age Limit: Maximum 64 years as on 25.09.2025 (last date for submission of application). The contract tenure will not be extended beyond the age of 65 years.
• Other Criteria: The engagement is purely on a contract basis for a period of one year, which can be extended based on performance.

Selection Process

The mode of selection will be an Interview. The date and time of the interview will be fixed and intimated to the shortlisted candidates via e-mail. The interview will be held at Regional Office Ahmedabad, ESIC, Panchdeep Bhavan, Ashram Road, Ahmedabad – 380 009.
