• Remuneration: Rs. 21,000/- per month for both Guest Teacher and Assistant Teacher.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • Guest Teacher (Assamese): Graduate with Major in Assamese. Must have a B.Ed. degree.
  • Guest Teacher (English): Graduate with Major in English. Must have a B.Ed. degree.
  • Assistant Teacher: Graduate in any discipline. Must have a B.Ed. degree.
• Age Limit:
  • Guest Teachers: Not more than 40 years for fresh candidates and 62 years for retired teachers.
  • Assistant Teacher: Not more than 40 years.

Selection Process & Interview Details

The selection will be based on an interview. Shortlisted candidates will be notified on the Gauhati University website. No separate call letters will be issued.

• Document Verification Time: 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM
• Interview Time: 10:00 AM onwards
• Venue: Registrar’s Conference Room, Gauhati University.
• Documents to bring: Shortlisted candidates must bring an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) with all relevant original certificates/documents and one set of self-attested photocopies.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
