Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • For Anganwadi Worker: 12th or 11th Board pass. (Can be relaxed to 10th, 8th, or 5th if eligible candidates are not available).
  • For Anganwadi Helper: 8th pass. (Qualification can be relaxed if eligible candidates are not available).
• Age Limit: 18 to 44 years as of the date of notification (21.08.2025). The maximum age of service is 65 years.
• Age Relaxation: An age relaxation of 3 years in the upper limit for candidates with one year or more of experience as a Mini Anganwadi Worker/Helper/Organizer/Co-helper.
• Other Criteria:
  • Residency: The applicant must be a local resident of the *same village* where the Anganwadi center is proposed or vacant.
  • Proof of Residence (any one):
    • A copy of the latest voter list showing the applicant’s name and serial number.
    • A certificate jointly signed by the Sarpanch and Secretary of the concerned Gram Panchayat, or a certificate issued by the Patwari confirming residence.
  • Only female candidates are eligible to apply.

Selection Process

There will be no written examination or interview. The selection will be purely based on a merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and other criteria as per government rules. Additional marks will be given to:

• Widows, destitute, and divorced women (with valid proof).
• Candidates from SC/ST communities who have studied in Kanya Ashrams run by the tribal department (with proof from the institution).
• Candidates whose family is listed in the Socio-Economic and Caste Census 2011 (with certified proof from the Janpad Panchayat CEO).
