Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
  • For Professor: An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and a minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.
  • For Associate Professor: A good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and a Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.
  • For Head of Department (HoD): Ph.D. in relevant field and First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant discipline.
  • For detailed post-wise qualifications, refer to the official notification.
• Experience:
  • For Professor: A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience.
  • For Associate Professor: A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor.
  • For Head of Department (HoD): A minimum of 12 years of experience in Teaching/Research/Industry, with at least 2 years post-Ph.D. experience OR 15 years of experience for non-Ph.D. candidates.
• Age Limit: The age limit for all teaching posts is 65 years. The cut-off date for reckoning qualifications and experience is 29.09.2025.
• Other Criteria: Knowledge of Urdu is compulsory for all teaching posts. The candidate should either be from an Urdu medium School/Madarsa or have studied Urdu as a subject at X Std., +2/Intermediate, UG, or PG level from a recognized Board/University.

Selection Process

The selection process will involve short-listing of candidates based on their qualifications and experience, followed by a personal interview. The University will constitute Screening Committees to scrutinize the applications. Call letters for the interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by email. The final selection will be based on the recommendation of the Selection Committee.
