Bilaspur, January 27, 2025 – South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has announced an exciting opportunity for fresh graduates and diploma holders to apply for Graduate and Technician Apprenticeship Training for the financial year 2024-25 under the Apprentices Act 1961.
A total of 800 apprenticeship positions are available across various disciplines, including Mining Engineering, Computer Applications, Commerce, Science, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The training period will be for one year, and selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹9,000 per month for graduates and ₹8,000 per month for technicians.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for these apprenticeships must meet the following requirements:
- A 3-year degree or diploma in relevant disciplines from a government-recognized institution.
- Regular (full-time) mode of education is mandatory.
- Registration on the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal is compulsory.
- Candidates must not have undergone any previous apprenticeship training.
- Should be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- The degree/diploma must have been obtained within the last five years.
Application Process
Eligible candidates must register and apply online via the SECL website (www.secl-cil.in) under the “Apprentice” section before the deadline of February 10, 2025, 11:59 PM.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on the year of passing their degree/diploma. In case of a tie, the percentage of marks in 10th, 12th, or diploma will be considered, followed by date of birth. Preference will be given to candidates from Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. The provisional selection list will be uploaded on the SECL website in the third week of February 2025.
Document Verification & Medical Examination
Selected candidates must undergo document verification starting from March 3, 2025, and a medical fitness examination as per the Mines Rules 1955 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992.
Additional Information
- Selected apprentices will be posted in SECL’s underground mines, open-cast mines, or offices across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
- No employment guarantee is provided after the apprenticeship period.
- No travel allowance (TA/DA) will be given for document verification or medical tests.
