Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Assistant Mines Manager: Degree in Mining Engineering / AMIE or Diploma in Mining Engineering with 1st Class / 2nd Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency under the CMR, 1957/2017. OR 1st Class/ 2nd Class Manager’s Certificate of Competency.
- Welfare Officer: Graduate with at least two years full time Post Graduate Degree/ PG Diploma/ Post Graduate Program in Management with specialization in HR/ Industrial Relations/ Personnel Management or MHROD/ MBA/ Master of Social Work with specialization in HR (Major).
- Colliery Engineer: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical): Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from any institute recognized by the AICTE.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering from any institute recognized by the AICTE.
- Surveyor: Diploma in Mining Survey Engineering with DGMS Certified Surveyor’s Certificate under the CMR, 1957/2017. OR Surveyor certificate of competency from DGMS.
- Experience:
- Assistant Mines Manager: 1 to 12 years of post-qualification experience in a coal mine, depending on the educational qualification.
- Welfare Officer: Experience in coal mine or industrial undertaking is preferable.
- Colliery Engineer: 1 to 10 years of experience in a mine, depending on the educational qualification.
- Junior Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical): 5 years’ experience as Mine Engineer, out of which 3 years’ experience in a coal mine.
- Surveyor: 1 to 5 years of experience in a mine after obtaining a Surveyor’s Certificate from DGMS.
- Age Limit: 32 years as on 01.09.2025 for Unreserved category candidates.
Age relaxation is applicable as per norms:- SC/ST: 05 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 03 years
- PWBD: 10 years
- Exempted Category (EC) candidates, WBPDCL employees, and MDO employees: up to 45 years.
- The maximum age limit for reserved candidates shall not exceed 45 years.
- Other Criteria: The engagement is purely on a contractual basis for a period of 03 years. Reservation benefits are applicable only for residents of West Bengal.
Selection Process
The selection process will be based solely on a Personal Interview. Selected candidates will be called for a Personal Interview to be held in Kolkata. The final merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained in the Personal Interview. The weightage for the Personal Interview is 100%.
